بهية ...أهنئِك
فى وسط الأحداث المتسارعة و الحراك الذى يحدث فى مصر و الذى جعلنى أتفرغ للفرجة فى الفترة الماضية إلا أنه منذ قليل فى حديث الأستاذ هيكل مع قناة الجزيرة صرح الأستاذ بأنه يقرأ ما تكتبه بهية و يحترمه أكثر من إحترامه لكثير مما يكتب فى مصر ، كان هذا فى سياق حديث هيكل حول تكُون جيل جديد فى مصر ، شهادة شخص فى حجم هيكل - على الأقل مهنياً- لما تكتبه بهية هى شهادة كبيرة لها أظن أن الكثير من كبار الصحفيين المحترفين يتمنوها و أيضاً هى شهادة للتدوين المصرى و للمدونين المصريين
....نظراً لأهمية هذا النصر الصغير للمدونين المصريين ، سارعت لأكتب لبهية

شهادة أستاذ الأساتذة هيكل هي بالفعل نصر لحركة التدوين و التي واضح إنه من المطلعين عليها بصفة دائمة

isnt strange the writting about arabic affairs in english, I know someone would rush to say, so why you comment in enlish? its because i live in canada and don't have arabic keyboard, i was interested after listening to heikel to read baheya but never imagined it would be in english, like the arabic language isn't good any more for a thing exactly like arabs are.

... and for the same reason you mentioned, Bahyaa is probably writing in English. May be she doesnot have an Arabic keyboard. I do not have either.
I do not like Egyptians who speak in English with each other, as if Arabic doesnot have all the words they need. .... but when it gets to computer, we have to realize that typing on arabic key boards is not easy and most of the time not even available for those living abroad.
So Do not make a big deal of it that Bahyaa is writing in English. What is important is the content of the blog.
Does any one know anything about Baheyya? I mean ANYTHING at all!...has she/he (I am assuming this is a pseudo id of course) ever replied to any comments/questions?
Excuse for being the big cynic that I am but the insight, the indepth impeccable analysis, the "perfect" language, makes me think She is too good to be true!!

it is me again who wondered the english writing about arabic interests, and in reply to the gentleman who said doesn’t make a big deal about this english thing, let me say this "what good is the analysis if it doesn't reach its target which is ordinary arabs, yes heikel knows english and has no problem reading this, but how about the majority who don't know english, what good a writing could be if it benefits none"
For the one wondered who could be beheya, think about this "why it couldn’t be heikel himself is beheya"
I have unlimited respect to heikel's capabilities as political analyst but we cant deny that he is like the rest of arabic intelligentsia is just coward to speak honestly and openly what is going on and may be he wanted to say what he have disguising as beheya" and he forgot like the rest of his peers that their fear to speak out is the main reason behind the situation.
I have to admit I kinda thought about it myself...but after he mentioned it in his programme, I am having second thoughts. But I totally agree this could be a pseudo idendity for an intellect who is too scared to reveal him/herslf.

I am sure you didn’t read all the articles submitted by Baheyya. If you did, you would easily discover the strong feminist character in all what she wrote. So try to read what she writes about art, movies and other social aspects.

You will easily feel what I mean.
She is a great Egyptian female, I guess she is around 35,, very intelligent, caring and loving her country.
I agree she is too good, but not cause she is not real, rather cause we are surrounding by all kinds of bad ppls to the extend that we don’t believe anymore there is any real good ppls.
She may can explain in English much better than Arabic… and really we need somebody to translate what she writes into Arabic to make it wider.
P.S. One of the things I didn’t admire about Egyptians living in North America is how they give themselves the right to judge other Egyptian from their superior place… piece of humble will not harm

It is me again..let me share a funndy thought with you..bahheya is either a woman or a gay guy :)
Anyways, i still think that she is too good to be true not only for her insight and indepth analysis but also because of the "extent" of her blog..she updates it on daily basis with pics and all ...she will have to be a full time online netizen with no job, no family and no social life to do that!!

هل تتذكر الكميائي : توفيق زغلول عضو الحزب الوطني الذي هرب بمبلغ 50 مليون (خمسون مليونا) من الجنيهات المصرية ، طبعا ساعدت في تهريبه مليشيا الحزب الوطني و المسماة زوراً بأمن الدولة.
ولك أن تتذكر إن شئت :
1) عادل مبارك فهمي الذي هرب و معه 375 مليون
2) محمود وهبة الذي استولى على 300 (ثلاثمائة) مليون جنية
3) مبارك حلمي الذي هرب و معه 500(خمسمائة ) مليون جنية
4) حاتم الهواري الذي هرب و معه 700(سبعمائة ) مليون ج
5) وهناك اخرون منهم ممدوح أسماعيل صاحب عبارات الإعدام الجماعي
لذا من ستعرض تاريخ الحزب ( المسمى زوراً بالوطني ) يجده زاخراً بألمع الشخصيات في عالم الجريمة بدءا من تهريب الأموال و مرورا بتجارة الرقيق الأبيض و انتهاءاص بجلب المخدرات (بعد أن ضمنوا ولاء جهاز الشرطة ) الذي تم أشغاله في عمليات وهمية كعمليات ضبط شبكات دعارة وهمية (تذكر شبكة الآداب المكونة من بعض الفنانات ).
و الآن تستطيع تفهم سر هرولة بعض المستقلين للانضمام للحزب بعد فازوا بعيدا عنة . البعض يسيل لعابه من أجل جزرة الحزب و البعض الآخر تخيفه عصى مليشياته (أعني أمن الدولة).

لأنني بعد رؤية برنامج المدونون في الجيزة في الساعة الأولي من 26-5-2006 استخدت الجوجل بحثا عن بهيه وموقعها فكتبيت كلمتين

The writing style, the amount of information and data gathering techniques, researhc and analysis...is to say the least engenious. i m so impressed...
