isnt strange the writting about arabic affairs in english, I know someone would rush to say, so why you comment in enlish? its because i live in canada and don't have arabic keyboard, i was interested after listening to heikel to read baheya but never imagined it would be in english, like the arabic language isn't good any more for a thing exactly like arabs are.

To Anonymous,

... and for the same reason you mentioned, Bahyaa is probably writing in English. May be she doesnot have an Arabic keyboard. I do not have either.

I do not like Egyptians who speak in English with each other, as if Arabic doesnot have all the words they need. .... but when it gets to computer, we have to realize that typing on arabic key boards is not easy and most of the time not even available for those living abroad.

So Do not make a big deal of it that Bahyaa is writing in English. What is important is the content of the blog.

Does any one know anything about Baheyya? I mean ANYTHING at all!...has she/he (I am assuming this is a pseudo id of course) ever replied to any comments/questions?
Excuse for being the big cynic that I am but the insight, the indepth impeccable analysis, the "perfect" language, makes me think She is too good to be true!!

it is me again who wondered the english writing about arabic interests, and in reply to the gentleman who said doesn’t make a big deal about this english thing, let me say this "what good is the analysis if it doesn't reach its target which is ordinary arabs, yes heikel knows english and has no problem reading this, but how about the majority who don't know english, what good a writing could be if it benefits none"

For the one wondered who could be beheya, think about this "why it couldn’t be heikel himself is beheya"

I have unlimited respect to heikel's capabilities as political analyst but we cant deny that he is like the rest of arabic intelligentsia is just coward to speak honestly and openly what is going on and may be he wanted to say what he have disguising as beheya" and he forgot like the rest of his peers that their fear to speak out is the main reason behind the situation.

Gentlemen
I am sure you didn’t read all the articles submitted by Baheyya. If you did, you would easily discover the strong feminist character in all what she wrote. So try to read what she writes about art, movies and other social aspects.
If you just read the following blog :
http://baheyya.blogspot.com/2005/08/my-madeleine.html
You will easily feel what I mean.
She is a great Egyptian female, I guess she is around 35,, very intelligent, caring and loving her country.
I agree she is too good, but not cause she is not real, rather cause we are surrounding by all kinds of bad ppls to the extend that we don’t believe anymore there is any real good ppls.
She may can explain in English much better than Arabic… and really we need somebody to translate what she writes into Arabic to make it wider.
P.S. One of the things I didn’t admire about Egyptians living in North America is how they give themselves the right to judge other Egyptian from their superior place… piece of humble will not harm

Anyways, i still think that she is too good to be true not only for her insight and indepth analysis but also because of the "extent" of her blog..she updates it on daily basis with pics and all ...she will have to be a full time online netizen with no job, no family and no social life to do that!!

well ,none know how much i love egypt and egyptians ,i m not from egypt nonetheless ,in fact the first thing that draw my attention to bahyya was the legendray thinker (hekal ) however ,i dont think hekal praised bahya but rather he was confirming his idea in such age (the infromation age) does not allow for strategies that depend on hidding infromation from the masses. in fact i m from arabic country and we have got american girl writtinb in very abusive way abt the country ,,(we knew later that she is american ) this girl started at teh same time of america project for democracy ,iraq invasion ,etc ,,wht we noted is that ,this girl use every bad word to describe the situations in the country ,but she never even for once talked abt Zionism or america policies in iraq ,,she avoids every thing related to that ,so in fact i just believe she is CIA ,aims for political blackmail against some arab regimes ,,i admit here that i never read any thimg for bahyya but if she is the same to our version so may be she is egyptian new version of cia ,,,i admit again i m not so fammiler with bahyya writting so i opologize again as my opinion comes up to be of no existence but in my mind

The best solution for the three (or more) strategic crisis in the Middle East
· Democracy
· Nuclear of Iran
· (the geopolitical resource of instability of the world) Arab_israel conflict

The core problem and the source of conflict and instability in the Middle East

More important than democracy, uprooting corruption...etc is the geopolitical corruption of politics in the Arab world and Iran as well.

If we talk about politics here in our region we must mean managing and pulling the strings of history, civilization on its two dimensions (that of Arab and Islam), the nationhood or nationalism concept (Arabism), the Islamic ideology, patriotism (as national countries), and the requirements of modernization and coping with the new world (following the world order today, democracy, rehebilititation of economic structural and infrastructure of government corporations).

I mean by the geopolitical corruption, dividing the Arab world to more than
20
Countries by France and UK and maintained now by America, bearing in mind that we are living in the national countries era that followed the collapse of religious empires more than 200 years ago in Europe and in the last century here in our region, however the questions is this, are Arabs and Muslims willing to follow the patriotic concept and go over the other elements (above) that form politics here.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I doubt. And in fact one of our political crisis that people can not accept the fact that they should not care about some things happening in other Arabic country (Jerusalem, Iraq, American occupation of gulf countries (in Islam ideology no disbeliever should live in Saudi for example, etc) that is why we have got some one from Egypt (Aymen Alzwahri)but still he is fighting for Palestine, Jerusalem
Now Iraq..Etc and he and Osama have got followers and support from most of Arabs and Muslims. The same thing you can say about Muslim brotherhood movement (by the way MB does exist in every Arabic country, carrying the dreams of one of the political elements in this region (Islamic ideology) and in fact such movement constitutes strategic horrible scenario for the west headed by America on the long term ,since America has been forming its strategies here on the base that there are 22 Arabic countries ,on the long term America would find it confronting not 22 Arab countries but one and unique Islamic empire(muslim brotherhood has the same vision and ideology so even if we have 22 arabic countries still they will be acting like one islamic nation with such coordination and here usa strategies would be harmly failing of course as MB enhanced their position here ) I don’t mean MB has no right to exist but I mean because of the geopolitical bad nature here, that s conflicting with political elements, MB unknowingly gone this way ,and the people followed this movement perhaps unknowingly or unintentionally for the same reasons. The same thing about radical groups like Alqeada, some radical nationalistic movement..Etc.
And you can see u suppose to come to invade Iraq but in fact you are faced by most of Arabs. so our separations as Arabs is the real big deal here ,and it is the reason for mixed geopolitics here.since if we are unified then we wont have such trouble politics.

It is known as geopolitics conflicts with politics, that probably going to create gap in the region and the all concepts about politics above would be divided to conflicting representatives (movements, countries, etc)every country or orgainaztion adoptes one of the elements above and build its own power and in turn every one go his own way with different relation and diufferent conflicting goals which makes politics tired and expesing here. What goes worse is that super powers around the world can not tolerate time to allow one
Of
These representatives win the region (due to the continues of competition among super powers and to reality and nature of politics as well), this means the geopolitical gap is the real thing to be concerned about. People here can not find balance between the geopolitics and the national countries era (world order) and their common sense with all Arabs that they share the same destiny.
Under this geopolitical gap here,Iran found it chance for rising old dreams again. Iran insisting on its dreams that require building nuclear, and we have to admit, that is one of the reasons Iran goes against Israel more than Arabs do, yes there is religious cause behind it, however we can not ignore the geopolitical prize Iran is seeking to win.

Iran is looking at Israel not just as religious target but also as gate for legitimacy for its empire over the whole Arabs.

Also Turkey still have bad dreams against Arabs which we warn if Turkey still insisting on such nonsense dreams ,the middle east's fire would reach every region in the world.

Russia, China .etc.
So the question now is this
Is the Arab world unification the best solution to fill such horrible geopolitics gap?

Yes

But is it applicable
Unfortunately at once and for all (NO)

The problems and barriers are:
· Is it now conceivable that Saudi and Egypt got unified regardless to the so different regimes, if yes, who will have the word, king Abdullah or Mubarak?
· The biggest barrier against unification at once for all is Israel; would Israel allow that its geopolitical lines with Palestine get expanded to be the whole Arab world rather than Palestine alone?
· Would the west who divided the Arab world (France and UK) and whom know trying to keep such dividends (America) would they allow for such geopolitical move smoothly?
· And many other barriers

So the solution in fact is the project I suggest here
That we should go for Arab unification ,democracy ,progress stability through different stages taking into consideration Arab Israel conflict the west interests here and the diverse regimes of Arabs also we should be through these stages enhance democracy , nuclear of Iran, etc.

Our project should begin with the gulf countries (6 countries (royal families) and Yemen, Yemen has the same population to all the population of the 6 gulf countries ,Yemen is bordered with Saudi and Oman , Yemen s democracy ,and it is the best example for democracy in the gulf countries ,because the whole gulf countries share the same tradition . the same culture (by the way Arab culture is one but also diverse to 3 different so to speaks colors of one culture) Yemen had revolution ,there is powerful army ,intelligence agency ,Yemen is self standing so Yemen is the best solution for project of unification between it and the other 6 gulf countries (through letting Yemen join the cooperation gulf council ) some thing like EU.
And then the good move starts as u give Iraq to the Arab island(Yemen and the gulf countries ) Arab Island is the historic name of this region
, and then Iraq joined this new political entity, so Yemen from side and Iraq from the other side and with help of the geopolitical move and the move of authority u can say real democracy happened in the most sensitive place in the whole world (Macca)

By going this way we would score five goals at once
· It is the first step smoothly go to fill the geopolitical gap of Arab separations
· Iran in fact has its greed and dreams inside small and weak countries (Kuwait, Bahrain .and in some large cities in Saudi and Yemen, Oman, etc) the Iran population is more than 60 million, Kuwait for example is 1500, 000, but with unification of the (Arab island) the historical name of Yemen and the gulf countries, the Arab island would constitute smellier power of 60 million population and kind of smellier power. And many experts believe if such scenario happens, Iran would back the west and the rest of the world countries rather than backing its dreams which requires nuclear.
· The third goal is that Yemen will play the role of gate of democracy into the gulf countries on the long term, or in fact such project as democracy may hard to be applied with the same geopolitics, but as geopolitics in gulf changed dramatically within this changes democracy should be built on the base of unified Arab island.
· Iraq problem would find real friend to secure it
· Such example would be applied to the rest of Arab countries (Syria ,Jordan ,Lebanon) , (Egypt ,Libya, Sudan ,macro, Algeria Tunis .etc)

I don’t think I can keep talking on the very details of how the other Arab countries would go about it in the way that cover the geopolitics here and also solve the three strategic crisis mentioned in the head of the letter ,
So briefly Syria, Jordan, Lebanon through supreme council can move their geopolitics to be unified under one entity called (Alsham) historical name for this region
And about Palestine , (the geopolitical resource of instability in the world) the best and only solution is integration of both sides Israel and Palestine under the name of (paleisrael) to be one country .
and this would take time till such different country exist and naturally live ,and this would require guarantee from Arab island ,ALsham ,Egypt ,Libya, Algeria ,,etc ,and America ,Europe ,and others if required.

Briefly democracy can't be applied without geopolitical move and move of authority (such move can not be achieved but with the idea of unification .

paleisrael
is the solution for Arab Israel conflict

As all these done, then the move to larger project of Arab unification should happened including Palesrael ,,here we would got over the three barriers

· No worry about Israel reaction to such project of unification
· The west headed by America was leading the region to democracy in the best way for its project in the whole world
· No difference between Arab way of regime. Because they became new political entities based on democracy values

Having done that
Now do you think America should worry about countries like Iran or Turkey (of empire dreams)?
Can Russia or china ,etc
Play dirty in such respectable and institutional region?
..etc.

As this done , then it would be good move that u let the Arab world join Nato ,so no worries about how militaries and weapons deals go ,,and more importunately that such region of more than 350,000,000 population (historical and civilization one) would be share you the same concern of national security for west and for ourselves too.

As this done...the central Asia would be our free space ,,we both would support democracies ,,and let these region join EU and Nato ,Russia would find that its old dreams r nonsense since the Middle East became of western values ,,so Russia would go for joining EU and Nato ,,decades later the whole world would share the same national security concept ,,they will share the same political systems ,,and here yes the end of history became fact ,but history did not end ,,what ended is the world order that remained for more than 250 years ago .and at that time the whole world will be moving to the new world order globalization that can not be limited on market and economy but also the world would need militarily ,politically, civilization globalization

By going the way I suggested above, this means the world has put itseleve in the right place to be ready for the new era..

As the coming generations live in such new world ,,America will remain the gift of heaven to humanity by guiding them the best way and by its signature mark on the whole world ,,that America first started to support democracies inside countries and at the end of its superiority the world as whole and as one part became democracy became so understanding and unique ,,and democracy will the values and procedures of the world , 100 years later ,,may be Americans go back their home after withdrawal from the world but as I said they will go back with such historic honor ,,,,,

Within all that the Middle East due to its geostrategic importance is the key ,either America deals with correctly here or may be an other scenario rather than the end of history will happen ,and what will be worse is that we r moving from era to new era if we don’t rehabilitate ourselves in the best way for the coming era ,,we wont be moving from era to era but we will be failing between unconnected 2 eras ,and the chaos which is mixed os clash of civilization and underworld and collapse of super powers ,,,etc all these things will be the prominent phenomenon.
